Orange Caramel (subgroup of After School) has released "Bangkok City." The outfits are mostly ridiculous (like ugly cheap bras over shirts) and their hair styles make them look like the victim of a really enthusiastic hairdresser who has now fried their hair so badly they'll have to cut it off (I hope for their sake that they are wearing wigs). However, considering how bad "Aing" was this is great. Also, it's a bona-fide club dance track, we haven't had enough of those in the recent K-pop releases. So, all things considered, I like it.
Clover, a "project group" made of Gilme, Eun Jiwon (G One) and Typoon have released "La Vida Loca." The video itself has a really cool aged and desaturated look. Why should you listen to this song despite the way it seems to weirdly idolize Latino gang culture? Because Gilme is one of the best singers in K-pop and this song lets her really show that off. Oh, and the back-up dancers are women with real muscles in their legs, not stick figures, which I think is pretty cool. The rapping is good and the addition of a Latin sound to the music really makes the song stand out.
